Bethlehem celebrated its 100th Year Anniversary in 2014.
A Century of Praise
Our first celebration event was held on Sunday, February 23, and was a beautiful worship service praising God for His blessings of music. Highlights included us singing our special anniversary hymn, Bethlehem, O House of Bread.
A Century of Community
Our second event, our Community Carnival, Concert and Car Show, was on Sunday, June 1. Bethlehem was originally located on the then far north side of Saginaw so people from this part of town could attend a Lutheran School and worship with ease in their neighborhood. We celebrated in the midst of our community the multitude of blessings that God has given to Bethlehem.
A Century of Heritage:
Our third event was on Sunday, September 28. We celebrated our Lutheran Heritage and the many gifts that the founding members of Bethlehem have left us. Our guest preacher for our worship was Dr. Martin Luther, (aka Rev. Hannibal Fredrick). We celebrated with special music and focus on the gifts of Grace, Faith, and Scripture that God has given us.
Former Servants and Sons of Bethlehem
Many of the former pastors, vicars, and sons of Bethlehem have agreed to come and be guest preachers for a Sunday during our celebration year of 2014. Bethlehem has been blessed with many faithful servants of the Word, and many sons who have entered into the pastoral ministry. The dates and services that they will return to Bethlehem are as follows:
